Marine Protection Systems Pty Ltd (‘MPS’) is pleased to announce the recent acquisition of the award winning technologies developed by Brett Maddern at Marina Protection Systems Pty Ltd. MPS provides a range of products relating to corrosion and electrolysis protection for marinas, OEMs and boat owners. These include the MPS Electrolysis Blocker, MPS Shaft Grounding Straps, MPS Maddox Anodes and MPS Test Electrodes.

Ryan Parkin
Executive Director / Managing Director
After completing a Bachelor of Commerce (University of Western Australia) Mr Parkin was employed by Ernst & Young in Perth and worked in the Audit & Advisory Division for four years, attaining his professional qualifications and admission to the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Mr Parkin has since worked in a number of listed and unlisted public companies in corporate development and corporate finance roles with experience in merger & acquisitions and corporate funding. Prior to joining MPS Mr Parkin had established a corporate development consultancy firm.
Ron Rouwenhorst
Executive Director
Mr Rouwenhorst contributes significant expertise to the board of MPS after more than 20 years in supply chain management and manufacturing. After a successful career in the senior management team of Bunnings Ltd Mr Rouwenhorst established Technicon Pty Ltd and Multiform Pty Ltd bathroom fittings supply businesses. The two companies merged with Novelli Pty Ltd 3 years ago giving rise to Australia’s second largest supplier of bathroom and laundry fittings and formworks, Novatec Pty Ltd. Mr Rouwenhorst continues as a director of both Novotec and of leading mining services company LHS Rocktools (Australia) Pty Ltd.
Brett Maddern
Executive Director / General Manager – Technical Development
Mr Maddern is the founder of Marina Protection Systems Pty Ltd and has developed the suite of products offered by MPS. After 10 years with Western Mining as a Metallurgy Analyst, Mr Maddern applied his knowledge to the marine industry with the research and development of the patented Maddox anode. Prior to joining MPS Mr Maddern owned and operated Marina Protection Systems Pty Ltd for over 13 years with notable clients including Rolec Marina Services and the Norwegian Navy. Mr Maddern currently is a director on the Board of AIMEX and the Boating Industry of Australia.
